元気ウィークでラミントンを販売
We sold five hundreds lamingtons at the festival "Genki Week"

11月14日（土曜日）、やまとたかだ元気ウィークに出店しました。

今年もみくちゃんのお友達が大和高田に大集合し、あいにくの天候に関わらず、会場はたくさんの人で賑わいました。

大和高田・リズモー都市友好協会は、昨年度に引き続き、オーストラリアの伝統的スイーツ「ラミントン」を販売しました。

今年リズモーへ行った派遣学生と、高田商業高校のボランティア学生の協力のもと、500個のラミントンを完売しました。

普段、日本ではなかなか手に入らないラミントン。こういったイベントなどを通じて、少しでも多くの人にオーストラリア文化を伝えていきたいと思います。

On 14th November (Saturday)

Today was the day of festival called "Yamato Takada Genki Week".

Miku-chan, a mascot character of Yamato Takada, and many local mascots gathered in Yamato Takada to attend this festival this year too. Our city was full of tourists in spite of the unsettled weather.

Following last year, Yamato Takada Lismore Sister City Associaton sold "lamingtons", it is a traditional Australian sweet.

Exchange students and volunteer students from Yamato Takada Commercial High School also helped us with selling it. Thanks to all of them, all 500 lamingtons were sold out.

Lamington is a rare sweet for Jananese and it is difficult to get it in Japan.

We are eager to introduce Australian culture to as many people as possible through these events.
