English World ~ 世界を旅しよう～
Let's travel around the world

11月23日（木曜日・祝日）に、市民交流センター（コスモスプラザ）で、「English World～世界を旅しよう～」を開催しました。

このイベントでは、出身国の違う講師6名が、それぞれの国のブースを作り、自国の特徴や遊び、歌などを子どもたちに伝えました。
パスポートを持って入国手続きを行い、講師の話を聞いたあとに、それぞれのブースでその国のスタンプを押し、次のブースへ移動します。最後は全員でオーストラリアのブースに集まり、動物の写真や人形、クリケットの道具を使って、オーストラリアの話を聞きました。県内に住む小学6年生までの子ども約90人が参加し、外国人講師と一緒に楽しく遊びました。当日は、畿央大学の学生ボランティアさんも手伝ってくださり、イベントを盛り上げました。
このイベントは、奈良県の「多文化共生・国際化推進モデル事業補助金」を活用して開催しました。

On November 23(Thursday/holiday), the event "English World ~ Let's travel around the world~" was held at Cosmos Plaza.
During  the event, six foreign teachers (from six different backgrounds)had their own country's booths, and taught songs, games and introduced their countries to children. Children experienced going through immigration with passports at the each booth.

After interactions with teachers, children had their passports stamped and moved to different country's booth. In the end, everyone got together at Australian booth and listened to the stories while watching pictures of animals and stuffed toys, and was shown how to play cricket.

About 90 children who live in the prefecture, aged up to sixth graders participated in the event. They had a great time playing with foreign teachers. Volunteers from Kio University helped out and livened up an atmosphere in the event.

This event was held by using "subsidies of multicultural symbiosis and internationalization model" in Nara prefecture.
