We Sold Lamington at Yamato Takada Industry Fair and GENKI Festival
11月12日（土曜日）、JR高田駅前東側広場および奈良県産業会館にて「やまとたかだ産業フェア＆元気フェスタ2022」が開催されました。
2019年以来の3年ぶりの開催になり、今年度は『eスポーツ&デジタル体験フェア』や総合体育館で『特別スポーツ教室』など新しいイベントもありました。
大和高田・リズモー都市友好協会でもブースを出展し、オーストラリア伝統のお菓子「ラミントン」を販売しました。
Saturday,12th November, “Yamato Takada Industry Fair and Genki Festival 2022” were held at JR Takada east station square includes Yamato Takada Industry Hall.
This was the first time took place in 3 years since 2019 and new programs such as “Esports & Digital Experience Fair” and “Special Sporting Lesson with professional athletes” were added from this year.
As a part of Yamato Takada Lismore Sister City Association’s promotion, we sold the traditional Aussie cake “Lamingtons”.
3年ぶりの開催でしたが、これまでの出店でラミントンについて覚えていた人も多く、たくさんの人に購入いただき、用意していた600個はすべて完売しました。
今年度も新型コロナウイルスの影響でリズモー市への学生派遣も中止であったため、店頭には高田商業高校より4名の学生さんにご協力いただき頑張っていただきました。例年は、リズモー市に派遣した学生さんがメインで店頭に立っていただくのですが、高田商業高校の学生さんたちのサポートがあったので、例年通りの形で開催ができて非常によかったと感じています。 来年こそはリズモー市との学生の相互派遣をはじめとして、姉妹都市交流ができればと願っています。
There were lots of people who still remember our Lamingtons despite the event was held for the first time in 3 years and thankfully we could sell out all 600 Lamingtons that we have prepared beforehand.
Usually, the students from Yamatotakada Municipal Commercial High School who took part in the student exchange program to Lismore were selling Lamingtons with us every year. However, the program has been cancelled since 2020 due to the COVID-19, so we newly recruited 4 student volunteers from that high school to ask for help.
We were pleased to have sold Lamingtons together as last time. Thanks to the student volunteers’ support.
This is the year we strongly hope that Yamato Takada and Lismore could have more opportunities for the sister city exchange and deepen our friendship through the exchange student programs.
