会長ご挨拶 -President's Greeting

大和高田市は、1963年8月にリズモー市と姉妹都市提携を結びました。
以来、交換学生や市民訪問団が、それぞれの市を訪れ交流を深めてきました。
また、大和高田市の情報をリズモー市へ届けるため、英字新聞「バンブーシュツ」の発行や、ホストファミリー制度など、 市民レベルでの交流が続いています。
大和高田・リズモー都市友好協会は、これらの活動をとおして、さらに姉妹都市のつながりを深めていきたいと考えています。

Yamato-Takada city formed an alliance with the city of Lismore as ‘Sister City’ in August, 1963. Since then the exchange students as well as some groups of citizens have visited each city and promoted mutual friendship. And the English newsletter, the Bamboo Shoots, has been issued in order to get people in Lismore to know about some of the news of Takada. Host family system for Lismore exchange students is fixed among Takada citizens.We, the members of the Yamato-Takada Lismore Sister City Association, have our firm belief that we should strengthen links with Lismore through the continuation of various activities mentioned above.
